Gulshan-e-Iqbal — Family Home

A newly built family home required furniture for every room — from the master bedroom through to three kids rooms, a shared living and dining area, and a dedicated home office for the homeowner who works remotely three days a week. The client wanted a consistent warm aesthetic across all spaces, using walnut tones and soft off-white fabrics to tie the rooms together visually. Every piece required custom sizing — the house had been built with non-standard room dimensions throughout, meaning nothing off a standard catalogue would fit correctly. The home office was a particular priority: the client needed a serious workspace that felt distinct from the domestic spaces around it, with built-in storage for files and equipment and a desk configuration that supported multiple monitors.

The home office had an awkward L-shaped alcove formed by the junction of two external walls, with a window positioned at exactly the height where a standard desk would have placed the monitor. We designed a custom wrap-around desk that used the full perimeter of the alcove, with the monitor zone positioned below the window sill and a raised shelf section above it that maintained the view. The kids rooms presented a different challenge — two of the three rooms were shared between siblings of different ages, requiring furniture that divided the space fairly while leaving both children a sense of their own zone.
